Mashery's co-founder and CEO has a record of success in a variety of executive positions spanning multiple industries. Oren co-founded and managed WiFinder, an international provider of directory services for public access wi-fi hotspots. He has served as president for two companies: Colt HR, a leading provider of mid-market benefits administration software and services; and Winebid.com, a leading online wine auction service. He also served as president and CEO of The Groundlings, a Hollywood-based entertainment production company, and has held COO positions at manufacturing companies. Prior to joining Mashery, Oren worked as vice president of business development at Feedster, where he managed the company's activities in China and negotiated partnerships with AOL, Real Networks, and Mitsui. Oren began his career as a software designer for Hughes Aircraft. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from MIT and an MBA in finance and entrepreneurial studies from UCLA's Anderson School.
Chris Lippi has been designing, building and running software services for nearly 20 years. As Vice President, Product and Services, Chris leads Mashery’s product management, professional services, and client services organizations. An integrator of enterprise, web, and B2B systems throughout his career, Chris ran one of General Electric’s largest global EDI networks in the 1990s; he also managed an XML network with 100+ partners in the web's early days. Prior to joining Mashery, Chris managed the flagship product line at newScale, Inc., as it grew from $2 million in annual revenue and 10 customers to nearly $30 million in revenue and close to 100 customers (eventually being purchased by Cisco). He also ran the product line at Arzoon, a leading SaaS logistics and supply chain provider, where he was a key player in driving the company's sale to SSA Global (now Infor). Chris started his career at GE, where he held numerous engineering, design and leadership roles and built one of GE's first web-based customer systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University, with majors in both Information Systems and Management Science.
Co-Founder & VP, HR & Administration
As co-founder and vice president of human resources for Mashery, Kirsten Spoljaric brings strong operational experience and a proven track record of success staffing organizations. Before joining Mashery, Spoljaric was director of human resources for Feedster, where she built the human resources department and implemented an aggressive hiring plan that tripled staff size in just one quarter. Previously, Spoljaric was a human resources manager for Spear Technologies, where she managed staffing plans in both the U.S. and the U.K. Spoljaric holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology with a minor in business administration from the University of Oregon. She also holds a PHR (Professional in Human Resources) credential through the HRCI.
Roque Versace, Vice President of Sales, has a long history of success in selling SaaS and Internet products to large enterprises. He also possesses a rare talent for evangelizing new technologies. During a six-year tenure at Salesforce.com, he rose to VP of Corporate Sales, and was responsible for a $20 million territory. As a member of the professional services and sales teams at BroadVision, Roque provided Internet strategy guidance to Hallmark, Wal-Mart, Xerox and other clients. As VP of Product Marketing & Product Management, he led BroadVision's $45M Commerce Applications team. As VP of Sales at EchoSign, a SaaS provider of electronic signature solutions, Roque tripled the subscriber base in one year. As a Senior Consultant at Accenture, he managed successful projects for Alex. Brown & Sons and Freddie Mac. Roque served as a US Army officer and is a Gulf War Veteran. He holds an MBA from the University of Maryland and a BA in Computer Science from Gettysburg College.
VP, Developer Platform
Delyn Simons brings remarkable knowledge of API platforms and developer opportunities to Mashery. Delyn created the Mashery API Network, an open data commons of RESTful APIs and an ecosystem of hundreds of thousands of developers who build web and mobile applications. Along with her band of Mashery API evangelists, Delyn works both with developers building great apps and with leading companies looking to extend the reach of their brands and businesses. Prior to joining Mashery, Delyn led developer community and platform marketing for eBay's pioneering open API platform. Before that, she worked in business development at IT publisher and tech events producer CMP Media, and then at collaboration software companies Insero and Well Engaged/The Well, which was founded by Larry Brilliant and Stewart Brand and called the world¹s most influential online community by Wired. Delyn received her BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara and her MBA from the University of San Francisco.
VP, Customer Success
As VP of Customer Success, Boaz leads the charge in making our customers successful with their API programs. As such his team is responsible for the professional services projects to enable our solutions, technical support services to maintain them and customer success management to drive program expansion, foster adoption, effective usage and value creation from their on-going use. Boaz brings to Mashery over 20 years of unique skills and experience in driving customer success at expansion growth stage companies. Prior to Mashery Boaz led the Sales and Marketing efforts at Wave Guard Technologies, an early stage start-up in the intersection of Telecommunications and Green-Tech. Prior to that, Boaz served as VP Customer Success at newScale (now Cisco) where he managed all activities for existing customers. Prior to that, Boaz held a number of executive positions at FreeMarkets (acquired by Ariba which is now SAP) including General Manager, Business Process Outsourcing and General Manager, High-Tech Business Sector. Boaz earned his MBA (with honors) from Carnegie Mellon University and a BA in Business Administration (with honors) from the College of Management in Israel.
VP, Strategy Services
Devon works closely with Mashery customers advising them in all stages of their API lifecycle from program conception to platform launch. Prior to Mashery she was the Chief of Staff at TIBCO Software where she worked as a strategic advisor to the CEO in allaspects of the company from acquisitions, restructures, new product development, large-scale customer retention and events. Prior to TIBCO, she worked as an Innovation Manager at Monster Labs, the R&D arm of Monster.com, where she focused on market research analysis for new products and strategic investment as well as product management, public relations and managed all IP for Monster.com. Her time before that was spent at CapGemini where she worked in the Strategy & Transformation group consulting for Fortune 100 companies such as McDonalds, Ryder Logistics, Eli Lilly and many others. Devon graduated from Amherst College and is an East Coast transplant.
John brings two decades of industry experience delivering complete lifecycle solution frameworks across the software industry, from product design to development and business operations. With expertise in engineering discipline and scale, John brings Mashery’s executive team additional focus on balancing business and technology needs. John is uniquely skilled to lead Mashery’s engineering operations with a keen vision for technology spanning SaaS, enterprise and application developers – having ran teams focused on a broad range of technology – from transactional server start-ups to large-scale enterprise solutions. John joins Mashery from Intuit, where he was responsible for the Intuit Partner Platform’s infrastructure, data programmability, data correlation analytics, and SaaS solutions for both developers and customers. John also spent twelve years at Microsoft focusing on developer-facing technologies including MSDN, SQL Server, and High Performance Computing. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from California State University, Chico.
Julie joined Mashery in November 2012, bringing extensive experience across all marketing channels, with strong focus on public and analyst relations, content marketing, online communications, SaaS, and social media. For more than 20 years, Julie has grown brand and demand at leading software companies during high-growth periods. Julie comes to Mashery from Good Technologies, where she served as VP of marketing and communications for two years. She has served in executive roles Oracle, McCann Worldgroup, salesforce.com, and Adobe. Julie focuses on aligning companies’ strategy, communications, and business objectives with customer needs to increase customer and prospect engagement and drive business value. In her over 16 years at Oracle, Julie was responsible for customer-facing programs including advertising, customer references, Oracle.com, Oracle Technology Network, Oracle and Profit Magazines. At Salesforce.com, Julie oversaw the company’s website and all online marketing and branding. Julie has worked with the Association of National Advertisers and the International Advertising Association and has been a member of the American Marketing Association. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University.
Tom St. Onge
VP, Business Development
Tom St. Onge, Vice President, Business Development, brings to Mashery the partnership expertise of 15 years of experience developing, executing and managing strategic alliances and partners within the cloud infrastructure as-a-service and SaaS applications marketplace. Tom joins Mashery from Hubspan, where he developed and implemented and managed the partner go-to-market strategy, leading worldwide channel sales teams to a 300% increase in channel revenue over two years Tom’s skill and passion has attracted partners such as IBM, Visa, Ariba, US Bank, NetSuite, CBS Interactive and others. Tom has held senior executive roles involving business development, product marketing and sales at a mix of companies including IBM Global Services, SafeHarbor Technology Corporation, Honeywell, Inc, AlliedSignal Inc, and the United States Air Force. He holds an Air Traffic Control certification from the Department of Defense/FAA and studied Professional Aeronautics at Embry-Riddle University.
Julia Ledbetter brings to Mashery a broad range of legal experience from a career dedicated to counseling a range of companies from established industry leaders to emerging technology innovators and the venture capital community. Julia is responsible for all matters legal, including negotiation of transactions, intellectual property strategy and litigation. Additionally, Julia leads Mashery's efforts to ensure all customers are working with a regulatory compliant API partner, by implementing best practices in crucial regulatory compliance areas. Prior to Mashery, Julia practiced at Ropes & Gray LLP, where she also specialized in private equity, debt finance and technology transactions. She received her JD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Chicago, with majors in the Biological Sciences and Environmental Studies.
