OSCON, I/O Docs and API Hackday PDX

Portland is the place to be this week! You can catch Neil, Uriah and Delyn from Mashery at OSCON, API Hackday Portland, and PDX API Hour -- locations and details below. Hope you join us!

First, the API Hackday Portland crew is hosting PDX API Hour from 6-8pm after a great Thursday at OSCON over at the Low Brow Lounge in the Pearl District. Meet fellow developers who will be attending API Hackday PDX on Saturday after OSCON. Free drink tickets for everyone who shows up registered for API Hackday PDX. Plus, because it is the Low Brow, we'll have tater tots and mini-corn dogs to munch on! Thursday, 7/28 from 6-8pm at the Low Brow Lounge in the Pearl District.

Next up on Friday, 7/29 at 10AM, Neil Mansilla is going to be talking about Maintainble API Docs and Other Rainbow Colored Unicorns at OSCON on Friday at 10AM. Part of his demo will be showing off our new I/O Docs feature, a new tool that lets developers get started faster and reduce application development time using beautifully designed, interactive API documentation. We'll be open sourcing parts of the code so that anyone with an API can offer a clean, powerful interface for executing live API calls right within their API documentation. Think documentation meets testing and debugging, all in one convenient place. For APIs in the Mashery API Network, developers sign-in and their API keys are input automatically.

The result is less time toggling, cutting, and pasting — and more time building great apps. Check out the updated API documentation over at Klout, Alibris, and Fanfeedr for a look, and we'll see you at Neil's talk for the demo and open source announcement. Friday, 7/29 from 10am - 11am at OSCON in the Oregon Convention Center, Room D139/140.
